INFORMATION FOR TEACHERS

On this page we have compiled a collection of teaching materials and scientific publications.
If you are looking for first steps, easy (and difficult) projects and short instructions, you will find them here.
Terms that are often used when working with the Calliope mini are explained here.

WORKBOOK FOR STUDENTS

With the workbook Coding with the Calliope mini you learn about six programming examples for the subjects English, Science and Math from a new angle. Step by step you will learn what coding is, what an editor is needed for, how to program the Calliope mini board and how to use it. (CC-BY-SA)

Mirek Hančl and Julia Winckler: Code A Little Animal

You would be hard-pressed to find a child who does not want to own a pet. To find out which one is the best, the students will construct a simulator that is controlled by the Calliope mini and uses external sensors to imitate the needs of a pet. Suitable for age 9 to 13. This project was created during the Science on Stage Festival. (CC-BY-NC-SA)
