The possibilities with the Calliope mini are diverse. On this page, we have compiled a number of extensions that help bring creative ideas and projects to life.
Servoboard
The Calliope mini Servoboard allows you to control up to 4 servo motors and 2 motors. It can be easily plugged into the pin header on the back of the Calliope mini.
MotionKit
With the MotionKit, the Calliope mini comes to life. It is equipped with an integrated line follower, infrared sensor, and ultrasonic sensor. Compatible with all Calliope mini versions.
Motoren
The Calliope mini can control and operate various electric motors. Here we show how it works with a DC motor, a servo motor, and a stepper motor.
Jacdac
The Calliope mini 3 is equipped with two Jacdac connectors, allowing various sensor and actuator modules to be easily combined by simply connecting them. Through a WebUSB connection, connected modules can be read and controlled in real time on a computer.
Climate Action Kit
The Climate Action Kit includes various sensors and actuators as well as its own building blocks. In connection with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it promotes not only technical understanding but also creativity and a sense of responsibility for global future challenges.
Sensoren Box
The Sensor Box, filled with 10 Grove ultrasonic sensors and 10 Grove moisture sensors, is the ideal addition to extend the use of classroom sets from primary school to lower secondary level.
Measure Air Quality!
With the SCD40 Calliope mini CO₂ sensor, the Calliope mini becomes a CO₂ traffic light. Simply connect it and measure CO₂ levels, temperature, and humidity. 🌳
Additional Sensors & Actuators
Thanks to Grove connectors, additional sensors and actuators can be easily added to the Calliope mini by simply plugging them in. A selection of suitable extensions is available.
GameKit
The GameKit is an arcade console with buttons and a large display for the Calliope mini 3.
Programming is done with MakeCode Arcade.
Breadboard
A breadboard allows external components to be connected quickly and universally to the Calliope mini. This makes it possible to build visually understandable circuits—ideal for learning the basics of electronics.
Boson - Kit
The Boson Kit is a practical set of modular electronic building blocks for your Calliope mini. It contains eight selected modules that can be easily connected to the Calliope mini.
Fischertechnik
With the Fischertechnik construction set, six different stationary models can be built. Using sensors and actuators, children can first construct easy-to-understand models such as a hand dryer, traffic light, and barrier according to instructions, and then control them via the Calliope board.
To connect the motors, the three spring pins are attached to the blue connector and can then be plugged into the pin header of the Calliope mini V3. Both motor connections (M0 and M1) work.
